So much has happened since my last post in July 2018. I'll touch on everything briefly. Then I'll be elaborating in separate posts over the next few weeks.
My daughter and I were diagnosed with a rare joint disease called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Basically our tendons and ligaments won't hold our joints in place. A hug could dislocate your shoulder. A pivot could dislocate your ankle or knee. More on that later. The genetics behind the disease are fascinating to a health nerd like me.
Starting in August 2018, with the death of a dear cousin, our family experienced more loss than you can imagine. From August 2018 - February 2020 my immediate family had to grieve 8 deaths. Including my Father just 3 hours after his 70th birthday. The aunts and uncles on my dads side except for 1 are remaining. Close family, dear friends, all tragically gone, ranging in age from 44-70.
Right now I'm in the process of packing and moving so you can expect a tips, tricks, and what not to do post. All pending survival of this huge life change!
Let's not forget navigating chronic illness during this pandemic.
And last I've been having trouble with my knee prosthetics and a plan is in place to diagnose the problem. More on that of course.
I hope this post finds you healthy whether it's being flare or Covid-19 free. Leave a comment with how you are coping during this tumultuous time and include and advise you have for fellow readers.
